Survey data by APAS and Ibope Inteligência shows that Brazilian takeup of online grocery has reached around 15% of share with younger shoppers aged 16-24 the most likely to use online channels for grocery and household needs. Top categories purchased were personal hygiene, homewares and cleaning products. According to another study from PwC, more Brazilians plan to buy food online this year, with 25% of respondents indicating they would use eGrocery services compared to only 6%in 2018.
